Windows Azure BootCamp Bulgaria - Sofia


A unique community event that will take place on March 29, 2014 for the first time in Bulgaria and second worldwide. One day deep dive class to help thousands of people get up to speed on developing Cloud Computing Applications for Windows Azure. In addition to this great learning opportunity the hands on labs will feature pooling a huge global compute farm to perform research for charity!

Facts:

  •  One-day event in Sofia, Bulgaria
  •  Up to 250 attendees
  •  Up to 15 sessions (lectures and training), up to 4 Tracks

At its heart this event is a local one day Windows Azure Community event. At each location, organized by local community leaders and Windows Azure enthusiasts, the event serves to benefit the local community members and to teach essential Windows Azure skills and know how. The event is a mix of sessions and labs based on the Windows Azure Training Kit.

A software evangelist and entrepreneur, Boris is one of the co-founders of FinAnalytica, a company which was awarded as № 1 Market Risk Solution Provider in 2012. He is co-inventor and patent holder of the "Risk Managment Using Heavy Tails" system. Over the past 3 years, Boris has been involved in product management for large-scale projects at Chaos Group, a Bulgarian company providing innovative rendering solutions for the global visualization industries. At Chaos Group, he leads projects related to the V-Ray Application SDK (C++/Java/.NET/Nodejs/Python) and V-Ray Distributed Cloud Services. Chaos Group was awarded as Innovative Company of the Year 2012 by the Bulgarian Presidency.

Daniel Joskovski

Works in IT since 1985, he is a database-centric application developer and architect, instructor, course author, usergroup leader and Owner of Omnis LLC. Over the Past 10 Years he's been teaching Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005/2008, .NET Development and SharePoint product and technologies courses to premier customers in Macedonia, Kosovo and Albania for SEMOS - first Macedonian Gold Certified Partner for Learning Solution. Starting from July 2009 Daniel is awarded with Microsoft MVP award for SQL Server.

Gunnar Peipman is experienced software developer and active .NET community member from Tallinn, Estonia. He leads MK WEB User Group, is a Board member of MKDOT.NET, do some blogging whenever he has free time and speaks in almost all known technology events, camps and group meetings in Macedonia and neighbor countries. is a senior software development engineer in Infragistics Inc. He worked as a software developer and team lead on WPF and Silverlight Line of Business production lines of the company. Now he works like a senior technical evangelist, team lead at Infragistics. Mihail worked in various areas related to technology Microsoft: Silverlight, WPF, Windows Phone , Visual Studio LightSwitch, Windows 8 Metro Applications, WCF RIA Services, MS SQL Server and Windows Azure. Over the past ten years, Mihail has written articles for Bulgarian Computer World magazine, blogs about .Net technologies. He is a contributor and a technical editor of publications PACKT Publishing and Wiley. Mihail did presentations for .Net and Silverlight user groups in Bulgaria. He worked more than five years in ESRI Bulgaria like a Software developer and a trainer. Several years Mihail did a lectures about Geographic Information Systems in the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” , Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics. Mihail is also a lecturer about Computer Systems in the University of the Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy in Sofia at Computer Aided Engineering Department.
